Education
DMJM is the nation's #1 A/E consultant in the education market sector. Almost sixty years ago, DMJM opened its doors with its first commission: to design a single elementary school in California. Today, DMJM has completed thousands of education projects, from programs incorporating technology into K-12 classrooms, planning and design of major university campuses, to program and construction management for the nation's largest school district bond programs. Our project successes are evidenced by long term relationships, like that with the Miami-Dade Public Schools, a client to whom DMJM has provided professional and administrative consulting services for the past forty years.
Our higher education portfolio includes more than 150 college and university facilities: student centers, advanced research facilities, classroom buildings, residence halls, libraries and performing arts centers. Transcending the boundaries of traditional A/E services, DMJM also performs atypical, complex projects including managing the recovery of the California State University, after the devastating earthquake of 1994 damaged 107 of its buildings on campus.
Working with four of the five largest school district bond program in the nation, DMJM understands that education systems face challenges of growing enrollments, reduced funding, changing technology, and decaying/aging facilities. DMJM specializes in the strategies that matter most to education systems today, with significant experience in design-build project delivery to jumpstart projects cost effectively and sustainable design considerations to protect our children and the environment.
Throughout our history, DMJM has provided technologically innovative projects that meet the special demands of education, offering some of the best design, management, and technology talent in the industry. Bringing our commitment to students, educators and administrators to work on every education project, we are dedicated to developing facilities that support and sustain student achievement.
