DMJM was selected to work with Ernst & Young on their approach to defining and implementing a new workplace strategy in multiple offices within the greater Los Angeles area, as well as in other West Coast cities. Ernst & Young’s new workplace planning strategy and designs were developed specifically to accommodate their work needs. The standards established for their program were designed to encourage team interaction and the use of technology, while providing all the amenities necessary for a productive work setting. This concept allows any employee, at any level, to use the entire environment as a workplace, rather than being confined to just a single assigned space. This encourages efficiency, which in turn enhances product quality, escalates client satisfaction, and increases profitability. Along with these benefits, the new workplace allows the client to grow substantially without having to add office space proportionate to its expansion. With the Southern California spaces serving as a pioneering model for its offices nationwide, Ernst & Young’s “Workplace of the Future” concept includes a “constellation” of offices in locations determined by employee home locations, client service needs, and prospective growth areas. To date, DMJM has designed over 800,000 square feet for Ernst & Young offices nationwide. |
