The design was completed in phases with the ultimate goal of restoring the facility to the original 1950's Morris Lapidus design while simultaneously updating the hotel to current standards. Phase I of the project incorporated a new front entrance to the hotel, a new reception area, bar, lobby, restaurant and pre-function area. Phase II included the restoration and updating of the Conference Center, Meeting Rooms, Ball Room, and the conversion of the penthouse floor into an all-suite environment. It has been the recipient of a design award and has been published locally and nationally. The DMJM team provided architecture, interior design, historic restoration, and planning services for the 350-room hotel. |
