Ray Hotel

The Ray Hotel is the latest boutique hotel to be developed by the Ambrose Group. This 60 bedroom, 50 000 sq ft hotel is located in the heart of Venice, California. The 4 storey building, with 2 levels of underground parking, incorporates 3 bedroom floors, 2 restaurants, and a roof pool deck.
Working with Belzberg Architects, we provided MEP design and LEED
sustainability consulting services for the project.
In line with the client’s sustainability policy, the Ray Hotel is seeking LEED certification. The project is on target to be the first LEED certified hotel on the west coast and achieving LEED Silver
certification.
Design innovations included the use of displacement ventilation within the public areas; onsite co-generation; graywater reuse; thermal storage within the building structure and heat recovery.
Advanced analysis techniques utilized during the design process included daylighting and shadow modeling.
